Anindita Anaam is a nationally recognized Kathak dancer and communications leader currently serving as Executive Director of University Relations and Communications at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She previously served as Communications Director for the City of Appleton, where she led strategic communications and public engagement initiatives focused on strengthening community connection and civic storytelling. She will be serving as VP Culture for IndUS. She holds academic training in public leadership and communications and brings extensive experience working across government, higher education, and community organizations to advance inclusive communication and meaningful public dialogue. A classically trained Kathak artist, Anindita brings stories to life through intricate footwork, dynamic spins, and expressive abhinaya. She has trained with renowned gurus across the Lucknow and Jaipur gharanas and has performed on prestigious stages including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Rubin Museum of Art, and the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. With equal passion for the arts and public service, Anindita brings a cross-disciplinary lens that bridges cultural expression, civic engagement, and collaborative leadership. She believes both the stage and public institutions can serve as platforms for dialogue, cultural understanding, and meaningful community impact.
